Literary Route of Dragotin Kette (in Slovenian Kettejeva pot) is a literary route dedicated to the writer Dragotin Kette (1876–1899), one of the representatives of Slovenian modernism. It was established by the Kettejeva Pot Society in 2006.
It connects Prem, the birthplace of Dragotin Kette, with Trnovo (today a part of town Ilirska Bistrica), the place of writer's vacation.
Literary Route of Dragotin Kette is for all of you who are looking for inspiration to achieve your life goals and who love literature, cultural heritage, nature, recreation, and local cuisine.
The Municipality of Ilirska Bistrica, together with other actors, renovated it as part of the Continuity of Self project. The renovated literary route was officially opened on the Slovenian cultural holiday, February 8, 2025.

You can start the Literary route of Dragotin Kette at the Elementary school of Dragotin Kette in Trnovo (Ilirska Bistrica) and head towards Kette's Prem.
You can also go the other way around. You start the literary hike at Prem Castle and descend to Trnovo (Ilirska Bistrica), where you end the hike at the Elementary school of Dragotina Kette in Trnovo (Ilirska Bistrica).
You can start the hike on Literary route of Dragotin Kette approximately halfway along the literary route in the Posrtvica valley and head either towards Kette's Prem or towards Trnovo (Ilirska Bistrica).
As guests of the Agritourism Ivankotovi, you can walk to Kette's Prem and from there head along the Literary route of Dragotin Kette.
Or you can visit only Kette's Prem and/or Trnovo (Ilirska Bistrica).

On the Literary route of Dragotin Kette, you will be guided by yellow-white markings and signposts with the literary route logo.
